Hi Mark;
In past posts there was the posit that some cottons contain traces of
pesticide or other chemicals. If so, the environment of the
bacteria/yeasts would not be good for kefir.
I used a pouch for a few weeks, was pleased at how well the grains
were multiplying, until made a new bag and found what I thought were
grains was really cheese!
Seems the pouch is best for fruit drinks.
