There is likely a distinction between raw milk and the highly process
milk bought at the grocery store. My 7 year old son has suffered from
abnormally frequent ear infections in the past. When his mother stopped
serving him pasteurized, homogenized milk, the infections subsided.
Yet, I have been serving him raw milk for almost five years now without
exception, even after his mother stopped serving him the processed
stuff. Raw cows milk does have some issues with it though, so I plan to
start fermenting all our milk into kefir soon. Raw goat milk is even
better. You should check out www.realmilk.com. Also, there's two great
books on the subject. The first, "The Untold Story of Milk" by Ron
Schmid. The second, "The Milk Book" by William Campbell Douglas. Both
are great books.
Hope you find some answers to the confusion and controversy surrounding
milk.
