Hi Jen. I wouldn't worry about it. We always split ours when the
kefir got TO THICK. LOL I was just wondering if the grains I had
saved in the freezer were to small and I should have seperated a
larger chunk. Someone else here thinks maybe they were in the freezer
to long. Since I didnt date the jar (they were in powdered milk in a
canning jar) I can't say. We've used back up grains before w/o
problems so this time I'm suprised. The simply are NOT growing and
it's been at least 2 weeks or more. Carol B (don't mess with whats
working is my motto.)
