I have super grains! I put in three small grains yesterday, and today,
24 hours later, they more than doubled in size. What the heck is going
on? They grew to nearly the size of the top of my thumb. I am
dehydrating some, they have gone so hog wild. Vicky suggested they may
be too warm, bit it is pretty cool in that cupboard, so I don't know.
Our house is rarely over 65, and the cupboard is cooler than that. Not
complaining, just a little overwhelmed. I put three tiny grains in 2
cups of milk today, I am still thinking it's going to end up being a
wee bit lumpier than I like. Haven't had a smooth batch of kefir since
I had them in goat milk. There just doesn't seem to be a moment when
they are just right, it is either still milk, or suddenly very, very
thick.
