This Monday, in my cell biology class, we are all going to get to look at kefir
grains under the microscope.
My professor has been culturing them for over a month now, in the lab. He
refuses to drink the product, but is fascinated with the process. I think I'll
suprise everyone with some pre-made vanilla kefir smoothies for the brave in
heart that are willing to give it a try.
Wish me luck, I may be able to convert, or at least educate a few
microbiology/pre-med majors while their minds are free from the pharmeutical
company's influences (classes, books, professors, research funding, etc).

Hi Karina,
Please keep in touch. Would love to hear about the feathers you ruffle (in the
nicest possible way).
chinkajack@...
What are you studying/researching?
Remember that some are blind because they refuse to see - look at what's right
in front of them.
And what a professor or lecturer is allowed to officially teach, isn't
necessarily what they believe is the best course of action.
Maybe your professors will enjoy the challenge.
Cheers
Sue.

WOW SUE!
What an amazing site....If I hadn't already developed a deep loathing for
the pharmaceutical industry before reading through that site, I would have
developed it as I read.
Thanks for posting that information. I can already envision a couple of
controversial research papers in my future. (My proffessors are going to hate me
: o ), but at least they'll get educated along the way!)

Hi All,
As cancer has been a topic of conversation of late and it's something that
has probably had its effect on all our lives,
- something interesting on the Net:
