I use the web interface, so it makes no difference to me. However,
what should be done, if it hasn't already, is have unsubscribe
instructions automatically tacked on to the bottom all list traffic
so that there might be fewer people posting on the list asking to be
unsubscribed. And, if yahoo doesn't allow for that, you should begin
the welcome message that is sent to all new subscribers with BIG
CAPITAL LETTERS saying to save these instructions.
