Re: Linda- Freezing Kefir?
Hi Diana,

Probiotics only hinder the working of the antibiotics if they are taken AT
THE SAME TIME.

Unfortunately, I don't have any scientific references for you. I was
remembering Dom saying that simply keeping kefir in the fridge for a long
time would cause some yeasts/bacteria to flourish and others to diminish, so
I figured that freezing would do the same thing.

I know you have already frozen some kefir but, if you had a glut of raw milk
in the future (you lucky thing!) perhaps you could freeze the milk and not
kefir it before freezing?

My two are black labs, but we all love GSD's too :-)

antibiotic therapy hinders the working of the antibiotics...since they have
more competition. So I think I'll just wait until my antibiotic program is
finished and then power the kefir. I wondered if freezing would kill some of
the probiotics (that's why I asked)...do you have any scientic references
for my scientific mind...on the freezing killing the probiotics?
