Having just had a quick look at the web site of Dr. Clark, I have to say that
in this instance, my sympathies lie with Quackbusters! If I were as careful
preparing all my food as Dr. Clark is suggesting, I certainly wouldn't mess
with kefir (I might accidentally infect the grain with parasites as I handled
it). I would never want to eat salad off my garden again.

since humans domesticated animals"

I am afraid that my viewpoint is quite the opposite; we sanitise our lives
too much, and that is why, when something that our ancestors would normally
have been exposed to comes along, we fall victim to it.
I don't propose going searching for other things that I disagree with, but
maybe I just picked on a bad page here?

Nothing presently employed in the art of cooking reaches the 250°F (121°C)
that is considered minimum in a hospital to sterilize bandages or instruments.

Hasn't Dr. Clark ever heard of an oven?
