Re: Re: did I do something wrong?
Terri,

a BIG "tips-of-me-fingers to-the-lips-kiss mooahh [while me sister's
parrot, Venus, preens me kefir-moos-tash].
OK lads... at ease.. there's no need to "keelhaul" this lassie today, for
patients was the virtue (I'm becoming quite impatient to keelhaul someone...
clicking fingers-damned it ;^).

Hop to it on me peg-leg i go with peace,
Dom

> I didn't even consider the change in climate - the grains come from a
wonderful lady in the moutains and I'm in the desert/sea level, I
would imagine the change in elevation may have also been a factor.

  HS - I used a 1-10 ratio

BUT low and behold (yes, patience is truely important)

I think this morning I've got my first batch of homemade kefir!!!

I gently rocked the jar and I'm getting the tell tale delta rivers on
the side. Dipped in a chopstick to taste - very mild, the smell is
  perfect.

I off to strain - I'm so happy!!!

I feel truly blessed to have found this wonderful gift - I have had
some horrid food posioning in the past but with the kefir I'm healing.

Thank you all, I will let you know how my first batch came out!!!
