Hi Heather and Bill:
I cannot tolerate any dairy including raw cow or goat and one of my fist
symptoms is joint pain.
Question to you both which may help narrow down this mystery: did you drink
milk before you started culturing kefir and drinking kefir? Or is this the
first time you two are drinking a milk product? Also, what kind of milk
are you two using?
Perhaps you could try culturing kefir grains in coconut as I do after you
have stopped drinking the kefir milk for a while; usually it takes 3 weeks
to clear the body.

>>>I'm glad you brought this up. I started kefir this last summer. After
two months I noticed joint pain in my little finger on my right hand.
Didn't think much of it but it never went away and now I have it on my left
hand as well. In the last month, I now have had joint problems in my left
wrist and left shoulder. The only real change in my diet has been the
kefir, from 15-30 ounces per day.
I started drinking kefir for acid reflux. It has helped somewhat for that
but I think I will need to take a long break from it to see if it may have
contributed to my joint pains. I'd be interested in hearing if anyone else
is having this. I'm not concluding that kefir is the cause but the timing
of the joint pain's onset means I have to carefully consider it.

Hi all-
I have been lurking for awhile and recently started drinking kefir on a
regular basis. Since I started drinking kefir, I have also noticed
joint pain in my knees and occassionally in my hands. I live in
Michigan and we had some extremely cold weather (single digits)the
first part of December.
Honestly, I attributed the pain to the cold at first, but it's also
been very mild for the last 2 weeks and I'm still having some serious
pain in my knees. Plus, I am ONLY 37 (o: so, no wise cracks about
getting old!
I did not eat very healthy over the holidays...is it possible that I'm
detoxing, but not flushing the baddies completely out of my system?
Any suggestions would be appreciated as I can't get to my homeopathic
doctor until late next week.
Thanks,
Heather in Michigan>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>.
