Hi Sasha,
My dog showed interest too but initially I had to sweeten it with honey first.
It was so funny watching his expression when he first tried unsweetened kefir,
hehehe, he liked it but pulled such a face (lol).
I sweetened it with raw honey and then gradually reduced the amount of honey
until I no longer added it.
Now he has it at it's most sour (separated so there's no lactose) on poured over
his dinner.
If he had to drink it neat - as straight kefir, I don't think he would as it is
sour.
But on his dinner he eats it all.
It is better to get your kefir closer to home only because of the lengh of time
the grains spend in the post.
If you can get someone from further away but still in the US and get them sent
priority (if they aren't dried), all will still be good.
TTFN
Sue.

Hi All,
I am absolutely loving being here. Glad I found this group!
I was wondering if I can give kefir to my cat. She seems interested in it,
but when I put it out for her, she doesn't drink it. Do any of you have
experience with this? I am very interested.
Also, is it better to get kefir grains mailed to me locally nearest to where
I live, or is it okay to arrive from across the US? I live in No.
California. I wrote to someone in my area but have not heard back from them
as yet.
Sasha
